The Sidbury is a contemporary styled wall clock which will complement any home, its presence creates  a real talking and focal point in a room in a way that other home furnishings just don't do!

 

The beauty of a mechanical clock is that it gives a home a unique feel.  It’s a sensory thing that you can see, hear and feel, which can, at times, blend into the sounds of the house but which gives so much pleasure when a few moments are taken out of a busy day to contemplate the sound, look and feel of a clock that has been lovingly hand crafted.  A mechanical clock has its own lifeforce, adding a sense comfort and company to a home  with the heartbeat from the pendulum and the ‘talking’  of the chimes.

You’ll never be alone with a proper ticking clock!

 

The Sidbury is a perfect combination of a contemporary styled clock case which houses the beautiful traditionally engineered mechanical clock.

 

The slatted oak case, made from premium cut oak, comes in a natural or black finish with the opportunity to choose from a wider variety of finishes if you prefer.  As each clock is made to order, we can also use other timbers  - ash, mahogany, or another timber you may have a preference for.

 

The beautiful (usually hidden) 8 day Westminster chime movement has been exposed using a Roman chapter ring dial to reveal all the moving parts on the front plate , this window in the dial makes the clock fascinating to watch when chiming.  Wind up your clock once a week and enjoy watching the pendulum swing and the weight slowly descend down the case as the week passes by.

 

To complement the Sidbury, we have designed a matching ‘Exmouth’ 8 Day mechanical timepiece mantle clock which is something that is very unusual in the world of clocks.
